The President's Message

Hi Club Members:

Here we are in the holiday season and another calendar year end but midyear in our Rotary year. While we enjoy the holiday season, eat too much, possibly party too much, we continue to serve our community through the season. We have particpated in food drives and we continue to support multiple community groups each month. BE PROUD OF YOUR CLUB...IT IS VERY SPECIAL IN THE ROTARY WORLD.

We are well on our way towards another year of completing all of our club goals. We have new members joining our club and we are completing community service projects. We also have a healthy club record of donations. Please keep up the good work. Every Rotarian every year is our goal and please make a donation to the Polio Fund to support the RI legacy.

I hope you feel gratitude in your holidays for family, friends, and an opportunity to thrive. For some, 2024 was a great year and for others, so-so. The national elctions are now behind us and be happy with the nasty political ads being done. This is the season for self-reflection and looking at how we can help others. Rotary is service above self and I hope that fulfills you as well.

Thank you for you particpation and fellowhip. Let's make 2025 a great year for all of us!

Thank you,

Dave

DMS support SECORCares

Our team had two events where we supported the SECORCares food bank in Parker. This project was recommended by Nicole who led the charge. In these events, we packed shelves, helped public members with loading groceries, and cleaned in the warehouse. Fun was had by all and we enjoyed working together.
DMS Hosts Englewood High Football Dinner
For the third year our club has volunteered to host the dinner at Englewood High School for the football team and their families. We had a great turnout from our club to set up, serve, and clean up at the event. Brianna and Amy were our champions and led the team. Qudoba provided the food which was downed vigorously by a band of teenagers. There were about 100 attendees and we received a lot of thank yous from the families. Once again, another well led community project.
Second Annual Heritage Potluck
We had our 2nd annual potluck dinner at the home of Rich Sattizahn. It was an opportunity for club members to bring dishes that they grew up with which reflected family heritage. Fellowship was top of the agenda as we met in a home setting with lots of food and banter. Our club always enjoys the company of other club mebers and guests. In addition, we welcomed new member Cecile Desnaud and her family into DMS.
