September Service Project

Serving Locally. Empowering Globally.

For the fourth consecutive year, Denver Metro South Rotary is stepping behind the scenes to help make an incredible community event possible.

This September, we will be volunteering at the Girls With Books Annual Gala; an evening that does far more than raise funds. It creates opportunity, hope, and a future for hundreds of young women in South Sudan and Uganda through the power of education.

Education changes lives. It creates leaders. It builds stronger families. It opens doors to careers, independence, and opportunity. Most importantly, it fosters understanding and peace by empowering young women to become educated leaders, role models, and agents of change within their communities. Through tuition assistance, school supplies, mentoring, and leadership development, Girls With Books is helping young women not only attend school but graduate prepared to transform generations to come.

While our service will take place here in Colorado, the impact reaches across the globe.

Every guest we welcome...
Every registration we process...
Every plate we clear...
Every ticket we sell...
Every smile we share...

helps make this mission possible.

This is a unique opportunity to serve alongside fellow Rotarians while supporting an organization that is changing lives through education and creating brighter futures for young women and their communities.

Volunteer Opportunities

Please bring your laptop.

Set-Up & Clean-Up Team

Help prepare the venue before guests arrive and restore it after the event so everything runs seamlessly.

General Event Support

Be ready to jump in wherever needed to keep the event running smoothly and ensure every guest feels welcomed and cared for.

Whether you're greeting guests at the door, helping someone purchase a game ticket, serving a meal, or lending a hand behind the scenes, your service helps create an unforgettable evening that ultimately provides educational opportunities for girls who may otherwise never have the chance to attend school.

Together, we'll demonstrate one of Rotary's greatest strengths: serving our local community while creating lasting impact around the world.

Service Above Self has no borders.

Join Us

Join us as we help create an evening that doesn't simply raise funds; it raises futures.

This is more than volunteering at an event. It is an opportunity to stand beside an organization that is transforming lives through education and to be part of a mission that creates hope, empowers young women, strengthens communities, and plants the seeds of peace for generations to come.

We hope you'll sign up, serve alongside your fellow Rotarians, and be part of this meaningful Denver Metro South service opportunity. Together, we can help light the future; one girl, one education, and one act of service at a time.

Please wear either your DMS Polo shirt or DMS Rotarian at Work Shirt.
