Inspiration and Impact: Our October 7 Program & Social Meeting
On October 7, our club gathered for a powerful evening of inspiration, fellowship, and purpose. We were honored to welcome Dan Klehm, founder of Convict Coffee Company, as our guest speaker, along with David Willman and several guests who joined us for this memorable night.

Dan’s story deeply moved everyone in the room. Raised in a chaotic home, he left at just 13 years old and spent much of his youth in and out of incarceration. While serving time at Vacaville State Penitentiary, the birth of his first son became the turning point that changed everything. Determined to build a better life, Dan worked his way up in the restaurant industry to become a Vice President and COO for national brands before deciding to create something more meaningful.

In 2024, Dan and his family launched Convict Coffee Company in Parker, Colorado — a business rooted in community, empowerment, and second chances. His story of resilience, transformation, and giving back is a powerful reminder of how purpose can lead to lasting impact.
We also had the privilege of hearing from David Willman, who shared an inspiring update on Rotary’s ongoing fight to eradicate polio worldwide. Thanks to Rotary’s global efforts, we are closer than ever to making polio a disease of the past.

The evening was a beautiful reflection of what Rotary stands for — service, compassion, and hope for a better world. We left reminded that everyone deserves a second chance and that together, we can make a difference — one cup of coffee, one act of service, and one life at a time.
