Creating hope and dignity through a bedroom transformation for families rebuilding their lives.

Creating Hope Through Service: Supporting Family Tree’s House of Hope

On March 13, 2026, members of Denver Metro South Rotary partnered with Family Tree for a meaningful hands-on service project supporting the House of Hope, a residential program serving women and children experiencing homelessness.

What began with a community food drive on February 28 became something even more impactful — a collective effort to help create comfort, dignity, and hope for families rebuilding their lives.

During the February food drive, club members and supporters collected essential food and household items to support Family Tree’s ongoing work serving vulnerable families in our community. That spirit of generosity continued into March as volunteers came together for a room transformation project at the House of Hope.

Rotarians rolled up their sleeves to deep clean, paint, organize, decorate, and furnish a bedroom for a family preparing for a fresh start. Through generous donations from members and supporters, the project provided new bedding, décor, storage solutions, paint, and everyday essentials designed to make the space feel peaceful, welcoming, and safe.

More than simply improving a room, this service project reflected the heart of Rotary: people coming together to create meaningful change through compassion and action. Every detail — from freshly painted walls to carefully chosen décor — was intended to remind the family who will live there that they are valued, supported, and not alone.

The project also highlighted the power of partnership and community collaboration. By working alongside Family Tree, Denver Metro South Rotary was able to directly support an organization making a lasting impact for women and children experiencing homelessness across the Denver metro area.

Service projects like this are part of Denver Metro South Rotary’s commitment to building stronger communities through friendship, leadership, and hands-on service. Together, we are creating spaces — and opportunities — filled with hope and new beginnings.
