Monthly Board Meeting
Jun 23, 2026 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

As we close out another incredible Rotary year, we're returning to where it all began — gathering at President Nicole's home for our final board meeting of the year.

The Denver Metro South Rotary Club Board of Directors meets monthly to actively plan, make decisions, and move our club forward. These are working meetings focused on collaboration, strategy, innovation, and action — not simply committee updates.

Together, we help shape the future of our club, ensuring our projects, events, and initiatives create meaningful impact throughout our community and around the world.

Who Should Attend

Board Members
Attendance is expected as we review progress, prepare for the new Rotary year, and discuss strategic priorities.

All Club Members
Members are always welcome and encouraged to attend, participate, share ideas, and contribute to discussions. Great clubs are built through shared leadership and diverse perspectives.

Why Attend?

Board meetings are one of the best ways to:

  • Help shape the future direction of Denver Metro South Rotary
  • Share your expertise, ideas, and fresh perspectives
  • Take an active role in leadership and decision-making
  • Learn more about club projects, events, and opportunities
  • Connect with members who are passionate about service and collaboration
  • Support our vision of being a vibrant, innovative, and impact-driven Rotary club

As we look ahead to the coming year, your voice matters. Whether you're a current board member, a future leader, or simply interested in helping our club grow, we invite you to join the conversation.

Together, we're not just planning meetings and projects—we're building the future of Rotary Reimagined.

ARTHUR KANEGIS - The World Is My Country
Jul 02, 2026 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Rotary Club of Golden invites to The World Is My Country.  This film will be launched on zoom on July 2, 2026, on PBS stations with a lead-in by Martin Sheen with “A Roadmap To A Better Future.” Can this film, about a song and dance man, reveal how we can fix the very architecture of the global system that is plunging us toward disaster? Albert Einstein said that Garry Davis grasped the key to whether humanity “will survive, or die by its own hand.”

BIO: Arthur Kanegis directed The World Is My Country about Garry Davis, who leapt off the Broadway stage onto the world stage as World Citizen #1 -- having amazing adventures with Eleanor Roosevelt, John Paul Sartre, Simon de Beauvoir and Albert Camus. It was on AARP’s Movies for Grownups!

He also directed Paul Newman in War Without Winners, and is the Impact Producer of Television Event -- about how the 1963 ABC movie The Day After averted a nuclear war.  He was the nuclear war researcher for that ABC movie.

Arthur hosts the People-Powered Planet podcast with producer Melanie Bennett. They interview “Solutionaries” and Rotary International Presidents and leaders on their co-hosted Mega-meetings -- like this one with Stephanie Urchick: Honoring President Carter’s lifetime of Peacebuilding.

He is also the creator of BULLYPROOF.com -- a ten-step conflict resolution program taught to young people with an acronym, animal characters, puppet shows, a Rap ‘n Roll opera and more.

Arthur and his wife Molly live by the beach in Mexico -- where his wife is active in the Rotary Club of La Mision and their Rotary Scholars Program.  Molly and her friends transformed the local community from one with no high school or hope of higher education -- to having over 150 university graduates!  One of the first graduates now has a son Dario - who is invited to go to Yale with a full scholarship.  What multigenerational Impact!

Arthur is on a lifelong mission to use the power of film to help inspire the world toward a peaceful and positive future.
